The Walker razor XV…One of my FAVORITE ways to protect my hearing while I’m shooting at the range; Especially when I’m firing those loud rifles and shotguns because normally the big bulky ear muff style kind interferes with the buttstock. But with the Razor XV, I completely forget I am even wearing them! (So Comfortable)
The best part about these Razor XV’s is how you can put them around your neck and then pull out the Ear Pro/Ear Buds. From there, just toss them into your ears and BOOM… You’re ready to start killing zombies at the gun range! What’s also really cool about these is they have built in bluetooth, so you’re able to listen to music from your phone while you’re throwing lead down range! I am pretty sure you can even take phone calls on these bad boys (I am not 100% so don’t kill me if I am wrong). But you know you have been shooting at the gun range when the wife starts calling…. You’re like “Honey, I don’t have time to talk”. BUT NOW… You can answer your phone while shooting and avoid that lecture when you get home.
PS.. She may get a little angry that you are shooting while she is talking but It will all work out 😉
After you’ve run out of lead, just retract the earbuds back into the Unit, leaving them around your neck. (You never know when you may need them or if the wife calls again) To retract the earbuds you simply press the buttons on the inside of the unit. Easy enough, right?
Here’s a quick list of the specs:
Bluetooth connectivity with independent volume controls. This lets you adjust the sensitivity to the surrounding noise as well as controlling the volume of that Gun Range playlist you just created to help obliterate those targets.
With the sound activated compression, once you fire that first round… BOOM… they go mute, just like the hearing pro you’re already used to. They are rated for NRR 31 decibels, which is really good!
These bad boys have HD speakers in the earbuds that provide a clean and crisp sound for those jams and even lets you tune into your local AM/FM radio stations.
Powered by a rechargeable 250mAH LIPO battery, these last for about 10 hours with regular use. The sound on these are amazing. You get that from high gain, Omnidirectional microphones. You hear everybody talking, Birds chirping, all while protecting your hearing. I always say its as if I am wearing a hearing aid.
To charge them you will find a mini USB port on the left earbud. They surprisingly charge pretty dang quick. It also comes with a nice storage case, however, I never use it… I just throw mine in my truck or my range bag and call it a day.
You have other buttons on the side here(See Photo above) the two inside retraction buttons. On the opposite side, you have your volume on/off control and your buttons to turn the volume up and down. Same on the other side. They do have auto shutoff as well, and a switch for the different modes.
Included in the package, are three different foam tips in different sizes. You have small, medium and large. I’m not sure which ones I use, but I’m certain one of the sizes would work for you. I’ve been wearing these for a year or two now and I gotta say, I FREAKING love these! If you do not own a pair you should think very hard about It! Plus you can talk to your wife while shooting…. HAHA!
