3D gun printing is finally legal! Many gun control activists are coming out strongly against the decision. Saying that this will add to the crime rate. What do you think? How should we treat people with files to print guns? What do people fear most about it? Perhaps it the fear of not knowing who has a gun. Needless to say its not the gun that should be feared, its who gets there hands on the file.
Here is a list of why it’s good and bad to have a 3d printed gun.
Even though you still have to buy the materials for the printer there is still a decent difference in the price when it comes to purchasing an actual firearm.
One Of A Kind
With printing your own firearm it gives you the opportunity to customize your own personal design. Who doesn’t want a “one of a kind” firearm?
With the 3D printers being able to print such a complicated object like a firearm just imagine what the future holds when it comes to 3d technology.
With the product being built from a printer you never know what you will get out of it. With that being said you could be firing a defective firearm which could have a lot of bad outcomes.
When creating anything original one of the biggest steps you have to take is to double check and make sure you haven’t copyrighted anyone’s product. with all the different types of designs out there its almost impossible to create your own personal firearm without copyrighting someone else.
Anybody Can Have One
When it comes to printing a firearm the biggest fear is not knowing who has the ability to print a gun. To own a firearm everyone has to go through a background check and it has come back clean. For the criminals and other unstable people that didn’t pass the background check, they will be able to produce firearms at home and commit crimes with it.
