New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart gave President Donald Trump a warm welcome on Friday as the president prepared to deliver an economic address at a rally supporting Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY).
“Without further ado, I’m grateful and honored and pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump,” Dart said.
After shaking Dart’s hand, Trump praised the Giants QB.

“I want to thank Jaxson Dart. This is going to be a Hall of Famer in my book. Thank you, thank you Jaxson. You have a lot of talent.”
Trump then turned his attention to New York and the stakes surrounding Lawler’s competitive House district.
“We gotta straighten this place out,” Trump told the crowd. “But I’m thrilled to be back into this incredible state with the proud hardworking patriots of Rockland County.”

Rockland County is part of Lawler’s swing district, the 17th Congressional District, which went blue for former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election despite electing a Republican congressman.
According to new analysis from the National Journal House Power Rankings, Lawler’s seat ranks as the “6th most vulnerable” Republican-held district in the House ahead of the midterms. Political strategists view the district as a potential deciding factor in the battle for House control.
