A mere four days into the new year, and the first awards show of 2026 is upon us. Tonight, the Critics\u2019 Choice Awards celebrate the best in film and television, recognizing the finest actors, directors, writers, costume designers, editors and more in the industry.<\/p>\n

Along with the usual categories, the 31st Critics\u2019 Choice Awards will include four new honors, for Best Variety Series, Best Sound, Best Stunt Design and Best Casting and Ensemble. Chelsea Handler<\/a> is hosting the awards show for the fourth year in a row, and the ceremony will once again take place at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in Santa Monica, California.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s always an A-list guest list; this evening\u2019s presenters include Ali Larter<\/a>, Alicia Silverstone<\/a>, Allison Janney<\/a>, Arden Cho<\/a>, Ava DuVernay<\/a>, Bradley Whitford<\/a>, Billy Bob Thornton<\/a>, Colman Domingo<\/a>, Diego Luna<\/a>, Ejae<\/a>, Hannah Einbinder<\/a>, Jeff Goldblum<\/a>, Jessica Williams<\/a>, Justin Hartley<\/a>, Justin Sylvester<\/a>, Kaley Cuoco<\/a>, Keltie Knight<\/a>, Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez, Mckenna Grace<\/a>, Michelle Randolph<\/a>, Noah Schnapp<\/a>, Owen Cooper<\/a>, Quinta Brunson<\/a>, Regina Hall<\/a>, Rhea Seehorn<\/a>, Sebastian Maniscalco<\/a> and William H. Macy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sinners<\/em> leads the film pack with a staggering 17 nods, followed by One Battle After Another<\/em>\u2018s still-impressive 14, while Netflix\u2019s limited series, Adolescence<\/em>, scored the most for television with six, followed by another Netflix show,\u00a0Nobody Wants This<\/em>, with five.<\/p>\n

Before the awards are handed out, however, the stars will walk the red carpet in the first major fashion moment of 2026. Last year\u2019s show brought us standout looks<\/a> like Margaret Qualley<\/a> in ethereal Chanel, Colman Domingo in a brown leather Hugo Boss ensemble, Cynthia Erivo<\/a> in black peplum Armani Priv\u00e9 and Mikey Madison<\/a> in vintage Giorgio Armani, so we\u2019re just going to have to wait with bated breath to see what this season\u2019s nominees bring to the table.
