Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other leaders were killed in the strikes. President Donald Trump has since encouraged the Iranian people to rise up against the country\u2019s theocratic government.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is not a so-called regime change war. But the regime sure did change, and the world is better off for it,\u201d Hegseth said.<\/p>\n
He also brushed off criticism of the operation being compared to the Iraq War, saying, \u201cThis is not Iraq. This is not endless. I was there for both.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMultiple recent Homeland terrorist attacks have been motivated by anti-Semitic or anti-Israel sentiment, and the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could contribute to US-based individuals plotting additional attacks,\u201d the bulletin said.<\/p>\n
