Following the decisive U.S. and Israeli strikes on the Iranian regime\u2019s nuclear infrastructure \u2014 an operation necessitated by the regime\u2019s own admission that they were a week away from a bomb \u2014 Schatz took to X to suggest the American Commander-in-Chief was MIA. \u201cWhy is the Prime Minister of Israel going on TV to explain this war and not the President of the United States?\u201d Schatz demanded.<\/p>\n

He quickly labeled the strike a \u201cwar of choice\u201d and a \u201cmistake,\u201d clinging to the failed Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) as if a piece of paper would stop a regime that Trump negotiator Steve Witkoff revealed<\/a> was \u201cproud\u201d of evading oversight to build 11 nuclear bombs. \u201cHad President Trump stuck to negotiations or not exited the JCPOA, this could have been avoided,\u201d he hyperventilated.<\/p>\n
This is the same senator who recently likened the administration\u2019s actions against Venezuelan dictator Nicol\u00e1s Maduro to the Iraq War, calling<\/a> the incursion a \u201cfantasy\u201d and a \u201cdumb war.\u201d Ironically, considering the mission was a huge success, he concluded, \u201cWe all know how this is likely to end, and it will not be good for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
