President Donald Trump lashed out on Thursday, asking via Truth Social who was \u201cdumber\u201d \u2014 former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson or former intelligence official Joe Kent.<\/p>\n
\u201cWho\u2019s dumber, Tucker Carlson or Joe Kent? It\u2019s very interesting!\u201d Trump\u2019s post began, and he went on to lay out his case for Kent.<\/p>\n
The president explained that he\u2019d first met Kent at Dover Air Force Base during the dignified transfer of Kent\u2019s late wife, who was killed by Iranian terror proxies in Syria.<\/p>\n
\u201cHer casket was being brought to Dover, along with the rest, although he married again, quite quickly, in my opinion,\u201d Trump continued, jabbing at Kent over his Congressional losses. \u201cIn any event, a number of years later, I noticed the same person was running for Congress in Washington State, and lost. I then noticed a couple of years later, he was running again, and lost.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump then explained that he\u2019d felt bad for Kent, who had run as a Republican, and for that reason had offered him a position in the administration.<\/p>\n
\u201cI told my people, \u2018Hire him for the White House. Give him a job, make him feel good, he lost his wife and two Elections.\u2019 They did so and, while I rarely saw him, I certainly didn\u2019t expect disloyalty, but that\u2019s what I got,\u201d Trump added. \u201cHe was really a SLEAZEBAG, and some would say, on top of it all, A LEAKER!\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump concluded by suggesting that he would no longer make hiring decisions just because he felt bad for someone: \u201cNO MORE MR. NICE GUY!\u201d<\/p>\n
Lumping in several other relatively recent critics, Trump compared Kent to Carlson, Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens as well: \u201cKent is a LOSER, just like Tucker, Candace, Megyn, and the rest of them are LOSERS \u2014 You\u2019re born that way, LOW IQ, and there\u2019s not a damn thing they\u2019re going to be able to do about it!\u201d<\/p>\n
Kent, who recently resigned as director of the National Counterterrorism Center, cited disagreements over the Trump administration\u2019s actions in Iran as the reason for his exit and claimed that the United States was acting in Israel\u2019s interest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
