Bill Clinton caused a minor commotion when he dropped by the pre-draft conference for the Dallas Cowboys. Owner Jerry Jones stopped the meeting to get up and go greet the former president, which led to many comments online about the 90s vibes given off by the whole interaction.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPresident Clinton is coming through the door,\u201d Jones can be heard saying in a clip of the conference that\u2019s circulating online.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cUh,\u201d the Dallas Morning News reporter said as Jones told him he could still ask a question. The camera then focused on Clinton entering the press room. Yes sir, Mr. President.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis guy was recently named the second most American to have started with very little and have accomplished a lot. Look at him, it\u2019s important. There\u2019s a great story about him,\u201d the Cowboys owner added.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s been a wonderful, not only President, but friend over the years, and I\u2019m really happy to have you here today,\u201d Jones said. He also told Clinton it was \u201cunquestionably\u201d the largest press conference in the NFL.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThank you, I\u2019m glad to see you,\u201d Clinton said. \u201cHave a good draft day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The Cowboys visited Clinton at the White House after their three Super Bowl wins in the 1990s. The last time Dallas took home the Lombardi Trophy was in 1996.<\/span><\/p>\n Jones recalled one of the visits, saying Clinton recited the entire roster of the Arkansas Razorbacks at the time. Clinton replied by saying it\u2019s now \u201ca different world.\u201d Jones mentioned how difficult it would be to take the field in today\u2019s college games, prompting Clinton to joke that he\u2019d be the \u201clate Jerry Jones\u201d if he did.<\/span><\/p>\n Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones confirmed<\/a> on Wednesday that the team will not pursue a long-term contract extension with wide receiver George Pickens, but that he\u2019ll play the upcoming season under the franchise tag.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
