After Saturday\u2019s attempted assassination at the White House Correspondents\u2019 dinner, we\u2019re now at the point where it\u2019s truly challenging to keep track of all the serious attempts on Donald Trump\u2019s life. You might think that\u2019s an overstatement, or you might think you can name all of these assassination attempts from memory. But I\u2019m willing to bet that\u2019s not true at all. So here\u2019s a test: What happened on September 6, 2017, during Trump\u2019s first term as president? He was in North Dakota to give a speech at a refinery. And while he was in transit, a 42-year-old man from North Dakota stole a forklift, drove it into Trump\u2019s motorcade route, with the intent \u2014 according to the state\u2019s attorney \u2014 of \u201cflipping the limo\u201d and \u201ckilling the president.\u201d<\/p>\n

The plan \u2014 as creative as it was \u2014 was foiled when the forklift got stuck on a fence. In the end, it was basically a Temu Killdozer. Ultimately the attacker settled for lighting a few buildings on fire. For all this, he received an extremely light sentence \u2014 time served \u2014 because, according to his public defenders, he suffered from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Yes, his excuse was ADHD. And it worked. You see, ADHD is a disorder that can explain literally everything away \u2014 from getting bad grades to trying to kill the president. If ADHD had been invented in the 1860, maybe John Wilkes Booth could have saved himself the trouble of running away and getting shot.<\/p>\n
In addition to the forklift attack, by my count, Trump has faced five other serious attempts on his life. There was Michael Sandford in 2016, who tried to grab a police officer\u2019s gun to shoot Trump in Las Vegas;\u00a0Thomas Crooks on the infamous sloped roof in Butler; Ryan Routh with the sniper\u2019s nest at the golf course; Austin Tucker Martin with the shotgun at Mar-a-Lago; and now the attack at the dinner on Saturday. And that excludes all the people who sent Trump ricin in the mail. These are all cases in which assassins moved well beyond making threats or planning an attack. They went out in the world, ready to throw their lives away, with the goal of murdering Donald Trump.<\/p>\n No other president in the history of this country has been directly targeted this many times, by serious assailants. That\u2019s a straightforward, uncontested fact. Gerald Ford had two serious assassination attempts. Truman had one. Reagan had one. Andrew Jackson had one. FDR had one. If you go looking up assassination attempts on, say, Barack Obama \u2014 who, we were told, was the first black president, and therefore he\u2019d be hunted relentlessly by white supremacists \u2014 you\u2019ll find just one incident that\u2019s remotely on the level of the Trump attacks. That incident involved a guy named \u201cOrtega-Hernandez\u201d who fired rounds at the White House from a quarter-mile away when Obama wasn\u2019t there. Beyond that, there\u2019s nothing. If you pull up the Wikipedia page for \u201cSecurity Incidents Involving Barack Obama,\u201d the very first entry reads, \u201cNorth Carolina Waffle House threats.\u201d So that should give you some idea of the quantity and severity of the threats Obama was facing.<\/p>\n And we can generalize this even further. In the past two years, can anyone name a single major act of political violence that was committed by a Trump supporter? The shooter who targeted those Minneapolis lawmakers claimed he was taking orders from Tim Walz, which isn\u2019t exactly a Right-wing motivation. Thomas Crooks \u2014 we can conclude from his social media posts, as well as the fact he shot Donald Trump in the head \u2014 wasn\u2019t exactly a MAGA guy. (He was a Trump supporter at one point, but was radicalized against the president during the pandemic.) On the other hand, violence committed by the Left has been very hard to miss. Putting aside the Trump assassination attempts, Charlie Kirk was murdered on-camera in front of the entire world, Brian Thompson (the health insurance CEO) was gunned down by a schizophrenic, ICE agents in Dallas were nearly shot to death by a sniper who somehow missed and hit a few illegals instead, two Israeli embassy staffers were executed by a guy screaming \u201cFree Palestine,\u201d a law enforcement officer was shot in a coordinated plan to assault an ICE detention facility in Alvarado Texas, multiple Tesla dealerships were set on fire and dozens of Tesla vehicles were vandalized, the headquarters of the New Mexico GOP was hit with firebombs, Josh Shapiro\u2019s residence was set on fire by another \u201cFree Palestine\u201d freak, and multiple officers were shot in an attack on a Border Patrol facility in McAllen Texas. A gunman opened fire on an ABC station in Sacramento, after the network suspended Jimmy Kimmel for lying about Charlie Kirk\u2019s murder. All of these attacks happened in just the past two years.<\/p>\n There is simply no comparison here. This is not a \u201cboth sides\u201d issue. That\u2019s not to say there\u2019s *never* been violence in this country that was motivated by extremist Right-wing beliefs. But particularly in the past two years, the political violence has only gone one way.\u00a0If there\u2019s any comparison to be made here, it\u2019s to the epidemic of Left-wing violence in the 1970s, which has largely been memory-holed. Schools certainly don\u2019t talk about it.<\/p>\n In his book \u201cDays of Rage<\/a>,\u201d Bryan Burrough quotes a retired police agent as saying: \u201cPeople have completely forgotten that in 1972 we had over nineteen hundred domestic bombings in the United States. People don\u2019t want to listen to that. They can\u2019t believe it. One bombing now and everyone gets excited. In 1972? It was every day. Buildings getting bombed, policemen getting killed. It was commonplace.\u201d From 1971 to 1972 \u2014 just a one-year period \u2014 the FBI reported more than 2,500 bombings in the United States. That averages to roughly five bombings every day, mostly committed by leftist organizations like the Weather Underground, the Black Liberation Army, the \u201cMay 19th Communist Organization,\u201d and so on.<\/p>\n What\u2019s different now is that the average Left-wing attack is far more lethal than it was in the 1970s. And more importantly, unlike the 1970s, the violence reflects the consensus view of most Democrat Party voters and politicians.<\/p>\n Consider the embarrassingly bad, Reddit-tier manifesto of the man who just tried to kill Trump at the White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner, Cole Allen. This is a guy who donated $25 to Kamala Harris, and believed pretty much every piece of Democrat Party propaganda imaginable, judging by his social media posts. He called Trump a Nazi, abandoned Twitter and fled to the open-air asylum that is BlueSky, and even believed that Kamala Harris would win the state of Iowa, based on that ridiculous poll that dropped shortly before the election.<\/p>\n Credit: X \u2014 @KanekoaTheGreat<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He wrote, \u201cBased on Iowa, predicting that kamala [sic] wins all swing states and at least 3 red states.\u201d<\/p>\n And when you read his manifesto, it becomes obvious just how deeply-held these beliefs were. The key takeaway is that there\u2019s nothing in the manifesto that\u2019s out-of-step with mainstream Democrat Party talking points. Ted Kaczynski\u2019s manifesto was at least thought-provoking and well-written. He didn\u2019t sound like a generic cable-news talking head. But Cole Allen simply writes a summary of various Democrat hoaxes and propaganda. He calls Trump a \u201ctraitor,\u201d alluding to the Russiagate hoax. He also says Trump is a \u201cpedophile,\u201d alluding to non-existent evidence in the Epstein files. He implies that inmates are getting sexually assaulted in detention camps and that innocent \u201cfishermen\u201d are getting blown up by a Nazi president.<\/p>\n Fundamentally, this is no different from what you hear every day on CNN. It was a variation on his argument that third-world countries \u201caren\u2019t sending their best\u201d to the United States. They\u2019re making us weaker, rather than stronger. That\u2019s what poison does. And rather than debate this self-evident observation, the press would rather pretend that Trump was talking about racial purity \u2014 which he never actually did. He was talking about foreigners who came into this country from mental institutions and prisons, drug traffickers, and generally low-quality migrants from \u201call over the world.\u201d That\u2019s not what Hitler was writing about. He was talking about \u201crace-mixing.\u201d<\/p>\n But the corporate press exists to ignore all of this context, so that they can convince as many people as possible that Trump is the moral equivalent of Hitler. And in the same breath, leftists will advance explicitly anti-white racial politics of their own. That could be why, in his manifesto, Cole Allen explicitly writes that \u201cMr. Patel\u201d \u2014 as in Kash Patel, the FBI director \u2014 isn\u2019t a \u201ctarget.\u201d He doesn\u2019t elaborate as to why that might be. But it\u2019s not unreasonable to conclude that Cole Allen wanted to prioritize white targets. After all, in this manifesto, Allen goes out of his way to identify as \u201chalf black,\u201d as a way of suggesting that white leftists should be the ones shooting at the president. In the part of his manifesto where he addresses hypothetical issues someone might have with the assassination, he writes: \u201cAs a half-black, half-white person, you shouldn\u2019t be the one doing this. Rebuttal: I don\u2019t see anyone else picking up the slack.\u201d And then he states: \u201cAdministration officials (not including Mr. Patel): they are targets, prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest.\u201d<\/p>\n Cole Allen is channelling stock Democrat Party rhetoric when it comes to racial equity and oppression narratives. He doesn\u2019t think he should have to \u201cdo the work,\u201d as they say. And when he does feel compelled to act, he\u2019s going to spare the first non-white administration official he can think of \u2014 even if that official is widely known as a loyal Trump supporter. So race, as always in Democrat Party politics, is the primary fixation.<\/p>\n And we all know that Cole Allen, had he been successful, would\u2019ve been widely celebrated on the Left. At this point, there\u2019s a pattern emerging with these assassination attempts. Every time something like this happens, you see one of three responses from the Left. If the assassination is successful, they\u2019ll openly celebrate it all over social media \u2014 which we saw with Charlie Kirk and Brian Thompson. On the other hand, if the assassination is unsuccessful, they\u2019ll either lament the fact that the shooter didn\u2019t \u201cfinish the job,\u201d or more commonly, they\u2019ll claim that the whole thing was a \u201choax\u201d or a \u201cfalse flag.\u201d In no scenario will Democrat voters, in large numbers, condemn the violence. That never even enters into their minds. This is a party that exists to do two things: replace white American voters with loyal foreign servants, and kill everyone who stands in their way. Therefore, within hours of the shooting, videos like this one were all over social media. I\u2019m certainly convinced. The attempted assassination at the White House Correspondents\u2019 dinner was indeed a hoax. The Trump Administration recruited a leftist Kamala Harris-voting Trump hater to participate in a staged assassination that would include the shooter getting shot at and then locked in federal prison for the rest of his life. The Kamala Harris voter agreed to this plan, that works against his political and personal interests, because he\u2019s just like a really generous guy. Meanwhile the Trump Administration, despite dastardly planning multiple assassination hoaxes, decided to keep their patsy alive and a permanent liability to them, rather than just killing him like they could have easily done. They did this because they also are really strangely generous in a very odd and specific way. So in summary we have a plot where all parties involved are working against their own interests with no real discernible benefit to any of them. There is no evidence of this plan and it doesn\u2019t even make any intuitive sense and the motives for everyone are unclear if not insane, but still I believe it because I\u2019m a very smart person.<\/p>\n According to a recent survey, nearly half of Democrat voters believe the assassination attempt in Butler was staged. This theory is perhaps even more ridiculous. We know that real bullets were fired at Trump during this attempt because someone seated behind Trump was hit and killed. So in order for this attempt to be a hoax, Trump would have had to volunteer to have real bullet fired at him. Which means they not only recruited someone to participate in this hoax, knowing that they would die or go to prison forever, but they also placed absolute faith in the marksmanship of their mentally ill patsy. And of course this is to say nothing of the large number of people who would need to be involved or complicit in this hoax \u2014 all of whom have somehow kept their mouths shut, even though the Trump Administration through two terms is notorious for leaks and anonymous sources gossiping to the media.<\/p>\n None of it makes any sense, but just to give you an idea of how widespread this kind of thinking is, on social media, Cole Allen himself endorsed the idea that the Butler assassination attempt was a false flag. Yes, the latest wanna-be Trump assassin sincerely believed that previous assassination attempts on Donald Trump were staged. Here\u2019s what he reposted: \u201cHOW DO YOU GET SHOT WITH NO SCAR???\u201d<\/p>\n At this rate, before long, we\u2019re going to get a Trump assassin who\u2019s convinced that his own assassination attempt was staged, somehow. These are people who find the idea that everything is fake, or a \u201csimulation,\u201d to be extremely intoxicating.<\/p>\n It\u2019s tempting to call all of these people morons, which would be accurate. But if you look at the profile of a leftist assassin, it\u2019s hard to ignore the fact that they\u2019re all above-average intelligence \u2014 or at least, they think they are. By all accounts, Luigi Mangione wasn\u2019t a dumb guy. Neither was Thomas Crooks. And Cole Allen was educated at Caltech, which is one of the most competitive schools in the country. Their acceptance rate is around 3%.<\/p>\n Cole Allen \u2014 LinkedIn<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Granted, he was almost certainly a DEI candidate who wasn\u2019t remotely qualified to pursue mechanical engineering, which was his major. And I can make that determination for a few reasons. First of all, his career flatlined \u2014 he quickly became a teacher for a strip-mall SAT tutoring company, as well as an \u201cindie game developer\u201d who didn\u2019t actually make any games. This isn\u2019t exactly the profile of a competent engineer. Secondly, when the shooter was in school, he appeared in this local news report, which strongly indicates he\u2019s much less impressive than he thinks he is. And because he\u2019s black \u2014 or at least \u201chalf black\u201d \u2014 we\u2019re all supposed to be impressed by this. It\u2019s reminiscent of that kid named \u201cAhmed Mohamed\u201d who supposedly designed a clock and brought it to school, only to be accused of carrying a bomb.<\/p>\n Credit: Wikimedia<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Obama and every media outlet told us that kid was a genius, even though he just took a store-bought digital clock, ripped the casing off, and stuffed it inside a pencil container. But it was supposedly a miraculous invention, because after all, he\u2019s not white. And even though, from a distance, it definitely looks like a bomb, we\u2019re all supposed to ignore that. Otherwise, we\u2019re racists.<\/p>\n Cole Allen\u2019s life story is similar, in that respect. Instead of telling him to accept his natural limitations, leftists promoted him as a genius at every opportunity. And when that fake reality collapsed, Cole Allen wasn\u2019t intelligent enough to realize he\u2019d been lied to. Instead, in what presumably was his final act as a free man \u2014 unless he successfully pleads to having ADHD \u2014 Cole Allen attempted to charge into a ballroom on a mission to assassinate Trump administration officials, on behalf of the very same party that had been deceiving him for his entire life.<\/p>\n By the same token, the assassin who murdered Charlie Kirk had obviously come to believe Democrats\u2019 unscientific and deranged views about gender, to the point that he was dating a \u201cfurry\u201d who was taking off-market cross-sex hormones because he believed he was really a woman. Luigi Mangione internalized all of the \u201cEat the Rich\u201d propaganda from the Left. He cited Michael Moore in his manifesto, which re-used many of the typical talking points from Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Ryan Routh fell victim to the Democrats\u2019 obsession with advancing the interests of Ukraine over the interests of the United States. All of the people shooting at ICE officers, of course, are also taking Democrats\u2019 rhetoric about \u201cdeath camps\u201d and \u201cgestapo\u201d to its logical conclusion. These shooters aren\u2019t going down rabbit holes. They\u2019re simply taking the corporate press, and the Democrat Party, at their word. Put another way, if you stop a random Democrat on the street, there\u2019s a good chance they want to see Donald Trump \u2014 and all of his supporters \u2014 die a horrible death.<\/p>\n There are too many examples to go through to make this point, so we\u2019ll settle for a couple. Here\u2019s one more example.<\/p>\n This is apparently someone who sits on a school board, writing, \u201cStaged! Drump stages more crap than a realtor.\u201d<\/p>\n We are well past the point where conservatives need to get serious about the extent of this threat. And to do that, we need to be honest about why all of the \u201choax\u201d theories are circulating on social media right now, among both conservatives and leftists. For most people, it\u2019s a lot more palatable to believe that these assassinations are staged, than to confront the truth \u2014 which is that, indeed, a large percentage of this country\u2019s population has been radicalized. If you\u2019re a conservative, they want you dead. That could very well include your next-door neighbor, or your doctor, or your Uber driver. Take a look at this data point:<\/p>\n Credit: YouGov<\/p>\n<\/div>\n According to a poll by YouGov and The Economist, 25% of people who describe themselves as \u201cvery liberal,\u201d and 17% of people who describe themselves as \u201cliberal,\u201d believe that violence can sometimes be necessary to achieve political goals. So basically, one in five Democrat voters, at a minimum, believe that political violence is acceptable. Less than 9% of conservatives (including people who described themselves as \u201cvery conservative\u201d) held the same position, in this poll. In other words, leftists are more than twice as likely to admit \u2014 openly, to a pollster \u2014 that they support political violence.<\/p>\n That\u2019s why Jimmy Kimmel is still on the air. The executives at ABC know that he has a reliable audience, albeit a relatively small one. Millions of Americans want to see someone lie about the deaths of conservatives, and encourage more assassinations. That\u2019s what Kimmel did after Charlie Kirk\u2019s murder. His client cannot be judged for mean-spirited dumb cracks after the shooting. But making a joke about Trump getting murdered is apparently totally fine. Jake Tapper goes on like this, for several more minutes.<\/p>\n First of all, there was no \u201cjoke\u201d here. That\u2019s kind of an important point. Jimmy Kimmel hasn\u2019t been funny in about 15 years, and this particular moment was no exception. As a one-liner, it had all of the \u201chumor\u201d of a trans activist on Reddit, gleefully celebrating Charlie Kirk\u2019s assassination. And on top of that, his whole argument is a strawman. No one is saying that the killer was motivated specifically by Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s joke. The point is that the entire Left-wing media apparatus \u2014 which is to say, virtually every media outlet in the country \u2014 constantly repeats this kind of rhetoric. And when leftists are exposed to this kind of venom, all the time, it turns many of them into dangerous and unstable people.<\/p>\n For what it\u2019s worth, Kimmel\u2019s routine went on to repeat the same Nazi tropes that CNN uses every day. They want people to marinate in this stuff.
