You know that? She hates it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, that song was No. 5, 32 years ago, and it went to No. 1, 32 years later,\u201d the president asserted \u2014 although when the song was first released in 1978, it ultimately landed at Number 2 on the Billboard charts. It first hit Number 1 on the charts in 2024, during the presidential campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s never been anything like it. It never hit No. 1. It was No.5, 32 years ago. And it went No. 1 for months during the last months of the game,\u201d Trump added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love that song,\u201d Trump said of his supporters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"qualified qualified-2\">He continued: \u201cBut she goes, \u2018Darling, please \u2013\u2019 you know she\u2019s a very elegant woman \u2013 she goes, \u2018Darling, please don\u2019t dance. It\u2019s not presidential.\u2019 I said, \u2018It may not be presidential, but I\u2019m leading by 20 points in the polls or something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/nfl-says-it-has-no-issue-if-players-celebrate-with-trump-dance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dancing<\/a> to the disco beat on rally stages across the United States for years \u2014 and has inspired many to follow suit.
