It had been sealed as part of Tartaglione\u2019s case. The former police officer faces charges related to multiple murders.<\/p>\n<p>Parts of the message are indecipherable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey investigated me for month \u2013 found NOTHING!!!\u201d the note reads in part.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a treat to be able to choose ones time to say goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWatcha want me to do \u2013 bust out cryin!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNO FUN \u2013 NOT WORTH IT!!\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A federal judge has released a suicide note purportedly written by Jeffrey Epstein that was sealed for years as part of the criminal case of his cellmate<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey investigated me for months \u2014 FOUND NOTHING!!!\u201d the note begins, adding that the result was charges going back many\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rNOOzErXDw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pic.twitter.com\/rNOOzErXDw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ian Miles Cheong (@ianmiles) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ianmiles\/status\/2052165868176748812?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">May 6, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>U.S. District Judge Kenneth Karas of the Southern District of New York ordered the document unsealed, siding with a request from The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Justice said in court filings that it did not know whether the note is authentic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere appears to be a strong public interest in the circumstances surrounding Epstein\u2019s death as described in the unsealing motion,\u201d the DOJ said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2026\/05\/06\/politics\/jeffrey-epstein-purported-suicide-note\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to CNN.<\/p>\n<p>The unsealing comes after the release of batches of the \u201cEpstein files\u201d connected to Epstein\u2019s sex trafficking case. Large batches of records have been released in stages over the past year due to legal and congressional pressure, but many remain redacted and disputed.<\/p>\n<p>The rollout has been controversial, and no verified \u201cclient list\u201d has been revealed. The disclosures have drawn attention to Epstein\u2019s past associations with prominent figures.
