Baby, what are you listening to?\u201d she recalls. \u201cHe goes, I know. He was like, I\u2019m almost done. He\u2019s like, I have to finish just a few more lectures from Dr. Arn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1616\" data-end=\"1732\">Kirk says Charlie constantly takes Hillsdale online courses and proudly screenshots every certificate of completion.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1943\">\u201cHe really understood that this institution wasn\u2019t normal,\u201d she says. \u201cIt was something that elevated his thinking to be a thought leader and really become a serious person, not just a political talking head.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1945\" data-end=\"2134\">Throughout the speech, Kirk repeatedly points back to Charlie\u2019s obsession with learning and his belief that education should shape how people think, not just help them memorize information.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2136\" data-end=\"2311\">\u201cI would say, I love learning from you,\u201d Kirk says, recalling date nights where she would ask Charlie to explain the Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin, or Winston Churchill.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2313\" data-end=\"2396\">\u201cHe just loved being able to share what he had learned in those moments,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2398\" data-end=\"2511\">Kirk also uses the speech to warn graduates about chasing comfort and easy living instead of purpose and meaning.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2513\" data-end=\"2735\">\u201cWhat you seek in life, you will get,\u201d she tells graduates. \u201cIf you\u2019re seeking the ugly, the conspiracy, the pain, you\u2019ll find it. And if you\u2019re seeking the good and the true and the beautiful, you will find that as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2737\" data-end=\"2840\">\u201cYou are not made for a life that asks nothing of you,\u201d she adds. \u201cYou were made for something higher.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2842\" data-end=\"3125\">At several points, Kirk frames Charlie\u2019s life as a blueprint for the graduating class, reminding students that Turning Point USA famously starts \u201cin a garage in Lamont, Illinois\u201d when Charlie is fresh out of high school with \u201cno money, no connections, and no idea what he was doing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3127\" data-end=\"3176\">But she says he never sees the mission as random.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3178\" data-end=\"3239\">\u201cHe knew that with the Lord.
