on them at the archives at one point a few years ago.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nThere\u2019s a reason why American citizenship retains unprecedented demand. <\/span>\u201c<\/span>It\u2019s the lottery ticket that everyone in the world wants,\u201d she says.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cAmerica has been so good and generous to so many of us,\u201d Campos-Duffy shares. \u201cI dedicated the book to President Trump because I feel like he saved us from the woke nightmare we were in where statues of Washington and Lincoln were coming down and flags were being burned.\u201d She attributes the president\u2019s reelection to teaching us \u201cto serve, love, and fight, fight, fight for America.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

Campos-Duffy\u2019s upbeat personality shines from the FOX weekend curvy couch. But she\u2019s just as genuinely kind without set lights and cameras in the room. When I ask about what contrast stands out to her most when it comes to her work-life balance, she doesn\u2019t hesitate.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cAt work, people get me coffee. At home, I\u2019m getting everybody everything,\u201d she jokes. Adding a little color to the picture, she says of domestic life, \u201c<\/span>I\u2019m ordering people around to help me with all the pickup, the cleanup, and everything. I am the CEO here, but I\u2019m also the person who\u2019s serving everyone.\u201d She sees the humor in the dueling mom roles. \u201cI\u2019m the intern and the CEO.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nCooking for a crowd<\/b><\/p>\n
Campos-Duffy says her husband, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, cooks family meals on days when she works: barbecue ribs or smashburgers. But this devoted mom happily takes the reins for the rest of the family\u2019s meals.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cI love to cook, and my family loves when I make Mexican food. I make lamb, salmon, chicken, everything. My kids literally call me on the way home from school to ask me what I\u2019m making for dinner that day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nShe welcomes her kids home from school with a neat house and a warm, satisfying meal instead of snacks. It\u2019s a strategy she picked up from her mother, who once commented about the afternoon snack-before-dinner situation, \u201c\u2018This is the dumbest thing ever. What are you doing? You\u2019re making so much work for yourself.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nLoving the efficiency of an afternoon dinner schedule, Campos-Duffy says, \u201cYou feed them as soon as they come home, you clean up or they clean up, and then you\u2019re done, and they can move on. It changed my life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nGetting the whole family together<\/b><\/p>\n
The Duffy gang loves cooking together, but they share another kitchen-centered tradition that they could probably do in their pajamas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cWhen we\u2019re all together on a Saturday, we love to just get up and have coffee together,\u201d Campos-Duffy describes. \u201cEveryone loves to just sit around, and the older kids come during vacation. At night they\u2019ll go, \u2018OK, meet you downstairs for coffee in the morning,\u2019 and we all just like to sit around and hang out together. I mean, genuinely do nothing but sit around and talk.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nIf this sounds too perfect to be true, she claims they\u2019ve tried other, less successful attempts at family bonding: movie nights. (Totally relatable.) \u201cWhat happens with a big family is we spend about an hour arguing about what movie to watch, and then someone\u2019s always pissed off that their movie wasn\u2019t chosen, and then they\u2019re like, \u2018I\u2019m not watching.\u2019\u201d That\u2019ll be a no on board games, too. She adds, \u201cMonopoly and movies end in fights or isolation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nCarving out time to relax<\/b><\/p>\n
With her filming schedule locked into Saturdays and Sundays, Campos-Duffy\u2019s \u201cweekend\u201d happens during the week. But she\u2019s got a quick fix if she needs a little time to herself.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cI love a good bath. There\u2019s nothing like a hot bath by yourself, you know, playing music or a podcast, no one bothering you,\u201d she shares. \u201cWe have a sauna in our house, and that\u2019s also a great way to relax. The only problem is the sauna shortens the life of the Botox.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAdvice from a seasoned pro\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
It\u2019s no secret that Campos-Duffy\u2019s life revolves around her kids. And while she acknowledges that she started her family \u201cthe Catholic way,\u201d looking back, she has no regrets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

But even though the dynamics are ever-changing, this mother\u2019s love only gets stronger with time.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cI love every single one of them,\u201d Campos-Duffy says. \u201cI love watching them bond with each other, and I love all the different ways that they contribute to the family with their personalities and their energy. It\u2019s literally the one thing in life I don\u2019t regret. I can\u2019t imagine my life without them.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
