A federal judge appointed by former President Barack Obama has been identified as the official caught having sex in her chambers with a high-ranking law enforcement officer during business hours.<\/span><\/p>\n Citing a person familiar with the investigation, Bloomberg Law <\/span>reported<\/span><\/a> Thursday that U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross of the Northern District of Georgia <\/span>received<\/span><\/a> a \u201cprivate reprimand\u201d from the court\u2019s disciplinary panel for engaging \u201cin an extramarital affair with a high-ranking law enforcement officer.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n The panel said the judge had \u201csexual intercourse in the judge\u2019s chambers during business hours within hearing distance of staff,\u201d but did not identify Ross by name.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ross was <\/span>first identified<\/span><\/a> as the judge involved by Marco Polo, a watchdog organization known for publishing material related to Hunter Biden’s laptop. <\/span><\/p>\n The Atlanta-based judge did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Daily Wire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n An investigation into Ross began in September 2025 after a court clerk reported hearing \u201ckissing sounds and other noises consistent with intimate activity\u201d and \u201csounds of moaning\u201d coming from judicial chambers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n That investigation found that Ross maintained a sexual relationship with the law enforcement officer for two years, placing herself in jeopardy of extortion and blackmail. Ross was also found to have lied about the relationship and attended a partisan political event in violation of court guidelines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Committee on Judicial Conduct and Disability, which reviews complaints against judges, later affirmed the findings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ross received a private reprimand along with an order to write apology letters to former clerks. She was also barred from becoming chief judge or serving on Judicial Conference committees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Obama appointed Ross to the federal bench in 2014. She was <\/span>confirmed<\/span><\/a> after advancing through the Senate with bipartisan support.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n During her confirmation hearing, Ross <\/span>called<\/span><\/a> her husband her \u201crock and source of inspiration in all of my professional and personal endeavors.\u201d In her judicial questionnaire, she <\/span>wrote<\/span><\/a> that \u201cthe most important attribute of a judge is integrity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n As a judge, Ross has overseen several high-profile\u00a0election-integrity cases and\u00a0sentenced<\/a> reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley to 12 and 7<\/span>\u00a0years in prison, respectively. They were later pardoned by President Donald Trump.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Todd Chrisley <\/span>called<\/span><\/a> for Ross to be impeached, writing on Instagram that \u201cthis corrupt judge who couldn\u2019t focus on our case because she was to (sic) busy clapping dem cheeks in her chambers per the articles that are surfacing in the last few hours, she needs to be impeached and we will work with Congress and our legal team to see that this happens.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n During the 2020 election, Ross\u00a0extended<\/a> the deadline for receiving absentee ballots to three days after Election Day.\u00a0That ruling was later blocked by a higher court. <\/span><\/p>\n
