President Donald Trump ripped into Jill Biden for claiming former President Joe Biden had a stroke during the disastrous presidential debate that led to the end of his campaign.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Trump said that the former first lady should have rushed to the debate stage to check on Biden if she really thought he had a stroke, as she <\/span>claimed<\/span><\/a> during a recent interview with CBS News.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cJill Biden is now out there finally admitting that she did NOT know what went wrong with Sleepy Joe during our spectacular, and highly rated, 2024 Presidential Debate, where Joe was not exactly performing to the highest level of debate standards,\u201d Trump posted<\/a> on Truth Social on Friday morning. \u201cShe said that she thought he was having a \u2018stroke,\u2019 and various other really bad things, and yet never rushed onto the stage to help her troubled husband, as any good wife would do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n During the debate, Jill Biden frequently stumbled through his answers and struggled to appear coherent. At the time, his wife said that he did a \u201cgreat job,\u201d “answered every question,\u201d and \u201cknew all the facts.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Yet in a viral clip from her interview with CBS News, she claimed to have a very different reaction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI was frightened,\u201d she said. \u201cI had never, ever seen Joe like that before or since. When I watched it, I thought, \u2018Oh my God, he\u2019s having a stroke.\u2019 And it scared me to death.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Trump added that Jill Biden should have mentioned how well he performed during the debate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe only thing she failed to mention was how well I was doing prior to his near total collapse. In other words, as many have asked, did my strong performance in that debate cause him to plain and simple \u2018choke,\u2019 leading to his ignominious defeat, or were other reasons the cause? Nobody else knows the answer to that, BUT I DO!!!\u201d Trump said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Biden has received backlash from both Democrats and Republicans for her claims, with many commentators accusing her of lying.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Pressure quickly mounted on Biden after the debate. He ended his campaign soon after, paving the way for former Vice President Kamala Harris to quickly lock up the Democrat nomination without any major opposition. <\/span><\/p>\n
