Former first lady Jill Biden on Tuesday shrugged when asked whether her husband would\u2019ve been physically capable of serving another four years, despite her efforts to keep his re-election campaign alive.<\/span><\/p>\n The 74-year-old’s media tour for “<\/span>View from the East Wing: A Memoir”<\/span> seeks to revisit the final chapter of Joe Biden’s presidency, his health, and the last-minute campaign to force him off the Democratic ticket.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHad he been elected again, would he have been able to serve as president? Would he have had to resign?\u201d MS NOW host Jonathan Lemire pressed Biden.<\/span><\/p>\n Jill Biden replied: \u201cI don\u2019t know the answer to that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n MS NOW: \u201cHad [Biden] been elected again, would he be able to serve as President? No one ever came to me and said, Jill, you know, Joe’s aging or something’s wrong. So when I saw that, I mean, no doctors came to me and said that, and Joe, like I said, you said, has a whole team of doctors around,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Over the weekend, Biden blamed the White House health care team<\/a> for failing to detect Joe Biden\u2019s advanced prostate cancer earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWell, you know, the doctors said that according to the American Urological Association, that men over 70 don\u2019t need a PSA, a blood test anymore because it\u2019s a slow-growing cancer. I have to say, Rita, I do feel we had amazing care in The White House, but somehow that was missed,\u201d she replied.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSo you\u2019re a little bit tense when it comes to his health, huh?\u201d Braver pressed.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if the word is \u2018tense,\u2019 but I think I\u2019m vigilant,\u201d Jill Biden replied.<\/span><\/p>\n The former first lady also recently revealed that she had worried that her husband might have been <\/span>having a stroke<\/span><\/a> during his debate with President <\/span>Donald Trump<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n In a Truth Social post, Trump called the former first lady’s bluff, arguing she should have rushed out onto the stage to help him if she was concerned.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cShe said that she thought he was having a \u2018stroke,\u2019 and various other really bad things, and yet never rushed onto the stage to help her troubled husband, as any good wife would do,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n In the same interview, Jill Biden insisted Joe was best suited to beat Trump in the November 2024 election.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “I believe he would have beat Donald Trump in that election,” she said, adding the couple had confidence in Kamala Harris.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Jill Biden: “I believe [Joe] would have beat Donald Trump in that election.”<\/p>\n Ok. pic.twitter.com\/ielfUS5FAB<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Western Lensman (@WesternLensman) June 2, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cJoe and Kamala, me, Doug, I thought we were a great team.
