Aero Precision has introduced a new upgrade kit, delivering reliable components that balance durability with user-friendly design. Each part is designed for easy installation, function, and customization, making it perfect for those looking to enhance their AR build. I’ve personally used an Aero Precision AR for most of the past decade and consistently recommend their products for their performance and price. Now, with these newly designed components, Aero Precision offers some exciting upgrades for existing AR builds—let’s dive into what’s new.

BREACH® Charging Handle

Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the BREACH® charging handle is built to handle demanding conditions. Its ambidextrous levers incorporate a patent-pending dual spring system that supports single-handed charging without over-stressing the handle. Available in both large and small lever sizes, it gives users the option of a compact or extended operating surface. The gas deflection shelf also redirects gas flow away from the shooter’s face, which can be useful when shooting suppressed. After installing it in one of my AR’s, it feels great and the forward angle of the latches helps hook my hand when I manipulate it. With an MSRP of $94, the BREACH® Charging Handle offers durability and ambidextrous functionality for AR builds.

PRO Series Ambidextrous Safety Selector

Aero Precision’s PRO Series Ambidextrous Safety Selector provides a smooth and configurable safety experience. With a reversible drum, users can select either a 45- or 90-degree throw based on preference. Captured detents keep the levers secure, preventing loosening even with intensive use. Two lever lengths allow for easy operation without interference from the dominant hand, making it adaptable for both AR15 and AR10 platforms. Priced at an MSRP of $65, the PRO Series Safety Selector provides flexibility with its 45- or 90-degree throw options.

EZ Takedown Pins

The EZ Takedown pins stand out for their convenience and enhanced tactile feedback compared to standard pins. Designed with an installation channel, they make pivot pin installation easier without the need for special tools. Their sleek finish and improved detents offer both aesthetic and functional upgrades to any build. While I wouldn’t spend the time to swap these out on an existing AR, they are great for those piecing together one from the ground up. The EZ Takedown Pins are available at an MSRP of $29, providing an affordable, user-friendly upgrade over standard pins.

Aero Precision MOD 4 Handguard

Their new MOD 4 handguard is engineered for rigidity and precision, constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum to reduce deflection under load. Attached with a steel barrel nut, it minimizes point-of-impact shifts which is essential when using infrared aiming devices. It also boasts a 7-sided M-LOK™ interface for extensive customization, while steel-reinforced QD sockets increase the durability of sling attachment points. Installation is straightforward, thanks to anti-rotation set screws and a barrel nut design that doesn’t require specialty tools.

If you’re interested in how rail rigidity affects laser zero, check out the article below where I put multiple popular rails including this one to the test. The MOD 4 Handguard has an MSRP of $280-295, reflecting its robust design and premium construction features.
